How to use the Saddle-Node Bifurcation Tool

Setting Initial Conditions

• Click the mouse on the lower left tx plane to start a trajectory.

Parameter Slider

• Use the slider to set the value of the parameter r.
• Press the mouse down on the slider knob and drag the mouse back and forth, or click the mouse in the slider channel at the desired value for the parameter.

Buttons

• [Draw Field] draws a slope field on the tx plane.
• [Clear] removes all trajectories from the tx plane.

Symbols

• x* denotes an equilibrium value for x.
