How to use the Imperfect Bifurcation Tool

Setting Initial Conditions

• Click the mouse on the lower left tx to start a trajectory.

Parameter Sliders

• Use the sliders to set the values of the parameters a and r, or click the ra plane to set both values simultaneously.
• Press the mouse down on the slider knob for the parameter you want to change and drag the mouse up and down, or back and forth, or click the mouse in the slider channel at the desired value for the parameter.

Buttons

• [Draw Field] draws a slope field on the tx plane.
• [Clear] removes all trajectories from the tx plane.

Symbols

• x* denotes an equilibrium value for x.
