Bear with me for a few announcements.
MIDTERM: As you should know from class on Wednesday, the first Midterm (a take-home) will be given early next week. The exam will be available on the course website at 12 am Tuesday morning/Monday night and will be due 34 hours later at 10 am in class on Wednesday, October 12th. The exam should only take an hour or two to complete, so there should be plenty of time to get it done. During the exam, all questions should be directed to me (eriehl@fas) and NOT the CAs.
REVIEW: In addition to their regular sections this week, the CAs will be hosting a review session on Monday from 7-9pm in Science Center 309. They will have some sample problems to work through at the session. In addition, my regular Sunday night office hours will be extended to 8-10 pm in Lowell Dining Hall for this week.
HOMEWORK: Please note that Problem Set 3 is also due on Wednesday in class. It would probably be wise to plan your time over the long weekend to get it done before Monday. Problem Set 4 will be due on Monday, October 17, but will be shorter than usual, as it will cover only two lectures' material.
SECTIONS: Finally, this week only Dan's section will be from 8-9 pm tonight. Students should come to the 4th floor math lounge where Dan will post a sign indicating in what room the section will be held. Also, Tien Anh's section this week will be Friday from 1-2 pm in room 222 with office hours to follow.
