There are a lot of important announcements here, so please bear with me.
First a reminder: final PAPERS are due on Monday, January 9th. Please turn in your paper to Dean Gross' assistant, Anna Fraser, in his office on the first floor of University Hall by 4pm that day.
Dean Gross will give two in-class REVIEW sessions for the final exam. The first will be on Wednesday, January 11th on rings and fields. The second will be on Friday, January 13th on modules. Both will be at the regular class time and location.
Additionally, I will be conducting a MODULES-101 on Thursday, January 12th from 12-1pm in Science Center room 309. This will be at a much lower level than the review conducted by Dean Gross the following day and is intended to help those who are still confused by basic examples and definitions. If you are comfortable with this material, it is probably best to only come on Friday.
Also, it is likely that the CAs will hold PROBLEM SESSIONS sometime in the evening closer to the exam. I will probably hold office hours one day preceeding the exam as well. This will be announced in a future e-mail.
The FINAL EXAM will be held on Monday, January 24th at 2:15 pm in Emerson 210. This information can also be found on the registrar's website (note Math 122 is listed before Math 1a).
Finally, please take a moment to fill out your CUE EVALUATIONS for Math 122, which can be found under the "courses" tab of your my.harvard.edu page. Student feedback is taken very seriously in planning for next year's course and is particularly important for helping new teachers like Dan, Tien Anh, Igor, and myself improve our teaching. Your input is greatly appreciated.
It's been a pleasure to work with all of you this semester. Best of luck finishing up your papers and feel free to contact me with further questions.
