Primary instruction takes place in a section. Each section is lead by a Teaching Fellow, which may be a faculty member or ABD graduate student.
Each TF is available in office hours every week. Office hours are a place for one-on-one discussion with students. Although students will probably be most comfortable talking to their own TF, all students are welcome in any TF's office hours. For your convenience, some TFs have office hours in the Math Question Center.
Problem sessions are run by the course assistants for each of the sections. Although each CA tries to schedule his or her problem session to best meet the schedules of his or her section, all Math 1b students are welcome to go to any or all of the sections.
