| From: John Mackey <jfm@math.harvard.edu> Subject: Second Midterm, Review Time: 04/11/2001 at 16:33:43 Hi Class,
The second midterm will be held this coming Tuesday,
April 17th from 7pm to 9pm in SC C. It covers sections 9.1-9.5, 9.7, 11.1-11.6, 11.8 and 11.9. No calculators will be allowed, but I will supply the error estimate for the integral test. The hypothesis under which tests for convergence are valid must be committed to memory.
Similarly, Euler's method, the logistic equation and it's solution, the formula for the sum of a geometric series and all other relevant facts and procedures must be committed to memory.
The coursewide review will be on Sunday, April 15 from
7pm to 9pm in SC A. NOTE: The review is NOT from 8 to 10pm. Although the review is not being taped, materials from the review will be available from me on Monday.
There will be a handout/review sheet given to you in class Thursday/Friday.
The Monday and Tuesday sections will be devoted to reviewing the material.
I will have office hours on Monday from noon to 3pm for those of you who have lingering questions.
Good Luck,
John
