Subject: Problem 32 on the homework

I just consulted with Professor Mackey, and we decided to de-assign problem #32 in section 11.12. The text on page 772 contains a typo in displayed formula (2), which makes the problem very frustrating. Even when the typo is fixed, the algebraic manipulations required to solve the problem are fairly difficult, so we decided to give you all a break. Apologies to those of you that already struggled with the problem. If you do solve this problem, you are welcome to turn it in for extra credit.
