Reading Question :
1. The integral from 1 to infinity of f(x) is not the same as the sum from 1 to infinity of f(n). Explain as if to a classmate who thinks they are identical.
2. The Direct Comparison, limit comparison, and Integral tests ALL require that the series be a series whose terms are eventually all positive. Why is that? (Hint: it has to do with the Monotonic Bounded Sequence Theorem on p. 570.)
