The Ultimate Graphics Calculator ( Back to Math21a website)

We all know that the Abakus or pocket calculators are out, PC's are boring and quantum computers, optical computers or DNA computers do not yet work. That's why we use here in Math21a the Ultimate Graphics Calculator (UGC) Its has an astounding resolution of 13 pixels. (Footnote: The current model "UdSSR" only allows to plot the Sin function). By using relativistic methods (take time as a second coordinate), it can also plot functions of 2 variables. The animation (MPG) shows this.

See the 3D Plot with the UGP (1.3 Meg MPG)

The "3D plot" to the left does the same than the cryptic Mathematica command:
Plot3D[Sin[x+y], {x,0,2 Pi},{y,0,2 Pi}]
with output to the right.

Thanks to the Prep Room at the Science Center for lending us this instrument for demonstration
