If F(x,y,z) is the force field given by the wind distribution and r(t) is a path,
the line integral is the work done on the field. The movie clip to the right from "Octopussy" illustrates this well. The flag gives an indication of the wind direction and so of the vector field F. The hot air balloon of 007 does remarkable positive work. |
