Dear students,
as promised in our review session, I did look at Problem 3(e) and, indeed, I think you should all be able (with some serious thought) to solve it.
Anyway, since you asked so, I added some more hints to that problem. But, if you like challenging problems, I think you should try to solve the problem without looking at the additional hints.
Also, I am posting a questionnaire in which I ask you to tell me which days you would like to have the second midterm exam. As some of you pointed out, right now the second midterm is scheduled the monday after passover and easter and some of you might not be there that day. So please, try to complete the questionnaire posted online.
