Hi all, we'll be changing gears on Wednesday to start working with a new family of functions - we're off linear at this point! There's one last piece of work to do, and that has to do with the piecewise linear functions that we started to talk about today. There's one homework problem dealing with the Tax schedules (like what we did in class on Monday), and on Tuesday Barusch will be asking you to analyze the Duke Maryland NCAA basketball game. To get ready for that session, please download the following file if you have a laptop that you can bring to the 12 - 1 session: DukeMD spreadsheet This Friday is our first in class test - there will be more information about it on Wednesday and Barusch will host review sessions for it during Wednesday and Thursday's afternoon sessions. Please check the assignments page for the newest assignment due Wednesday. Afternoon session times: Barusch's afternoon sessions are all set up for room 221 at this point - Monday and Wednesday at 2 to 3pm and Tuesday/Thursday from 12 to 1pm. The more you're able to do with Barusch, the better in terms of your overall knowledge/learning (and grade!), so do try to come to as many of those sessions as you can. When accessing files from this website, if you need to read PDF files, you can download the Adobe Acrobat Reader for free. |
