We'll be working with quadratic functions for one more day on Wednesday, then
it's time for a new set of functions that are extremely useful for population
growth modeling (i.e. exponentials!) Don't forget that there is a set of homework problems due this Wednesday - please check the assignments page as quite a few problems have been added to the list that was already there (and please be sure to start the problem set as soon as you can - don't put it off until late Tuesday or Wednesday morning!) I will have office hours on Wednesday afternoon and also on Friday afternoon. I'll pass out a sign up sheet in class on Wednesday so that everyone can pick a time to catch up with me one on one. Don't forget about the extra points for this test. Bring in your write up of the correct solution for a problem on Wednesday (use a blank copy of the test to write up the new solutions) and get an extra point for each question you write up correctly by Wednesday (so a total of 7 extra points possible as there are 7 questions). You only need to write up the parts of a question that you didn't get a full score on (there's no need to rewrite what you already got full credit for). Be sure to bring your old test with you as well on Wednesday so I can see which parts you'd already done on a question. You can meet with anyone you want to go over the test but do be sure that the solutions write up you turn is your work. Afternoon review/problem session times: Barusch's afternoon sessions are held in room 221 in the Science Center. Monday and Wednesday's sessions meet 2 to 3pm and Tuesday/Thursday from 12 to 1pm. When accessing files from this website, if you need to read PDF files, you can download the Adobe Acrobat Reader for free. |
