Working with Exponents Review

Summer School

Wednesday it will be time for yet again something new and different - we'll be entering the next phase of the course with prob and stats!  But before that it will be time for a bit more on fitting exponential functions and of course, time for the presentations on the internet sizing question (how large in April 2009?)

To get ready for your presentations please meet with your group either during Tuesday's section (at the usual 12 to 1 time slot with Barusch - if she isn't in room 221 then check up in 309a).  Remember that the idea is to come up with a reasonably good estimate on size based on fitting a function (exponential) to the data I gave you in class.  If you have any questions about it please ask either Barusch or me.  On Wednesday we'll draw straws as to which group presents - it will be completely random.  We'll likely have a few more presentations later and will make other groups present then to make sure everyone gets a chance.

There's a new homework problem set due Wednesday (check the assignments page as usual).

See you Wednesday - hopefully I'll have my voice back by then!

Afternoon review/problem session times: Barusch's afternoon sessions are held in room 221 in the Science Center (or if the class isn't there, you should check up in the regular classroom in 309a). Monday and Wednesday's sessions meet 2 to 3pm and Tuesday/Thursday from 12 to 1pm.
