Now we're off into gambling and drug testing (aka Probability and Statistics!)
Hmm... perhaps I'll try to find some more "wholesome" situations to study on
Wednesday! Don't forget about the second midterm test this Friday - it
will cover quadratics and exponential functions (no probability). Barusch
will be holding her usual sessions this week (including a review session on
Thursday from 12 to 1). I'll be available for office hours today, Monday
and Wednesday from 4 to 5 in the 4th floor Math Lounge in the Science Center. Just as a reminder - you can find the textbook for prob/stats at the following link: http://users.rcn.com/econnally/math/courses/S-Y/stats.pdf There is an assignment due Wednesday (check the assignments page as usual). Afternoon review/problem session times: Barusch's afternoon sessions are held in room 221 in the Science Center (or if the class isn't there, you should check up in the regular classroom in 309a). Monday and Wednesday's sessions meet 2 to 3pm and Tuesday/Thursday from 12 to 1pm. When accessing files from this website, if you need to read PDF files, you can download the Adobe Acrobat Reader for free. |
