Microteaching

The picture shows members of the preceptor group trying out some Microteaching techniques on September 11, 2000 with Microteaching techniques with Mary-Ann Winkelmes at the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning. Microteaching is an effective tool to fine tune teaching skills. The feedback of a group reveals teaching strenghts and helps to pinpoint aspects which can be improved. Most effective is a feedback by video. Very important is the self-analysis of the teacher at the beginning before the group discusses together with the teacher the strengths and weaknesses of the lesson.
