A cult SciFi with Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich. The movie "The Fifth element"
borrows from an ancient theme in
"sacred geometry" and
"Hellenistic constructs" drawing from the fact that there are
5 Platonic solids
but
4 classical
elements water, air, earth and fire (first proposed by the Greek
philospher Emedocles as "roots"). Aristotle added a fifth element,
"Aether". He had argued that the stars can not be made of the four
elements and therefore be made of a fifth element. In the movie,
the fifth element is a girl played by Milla Jovovich. The movie has
become a cult movie because of its many iconic scenes. An example is the opera
scene with Diva Plavalaguna, played by
Maiween Le Besco and voice by the professional opera singer
Inva Mula. In the last part
of the Diva Plavalaguna song,
there are frequencies which
were not sung before.
Here is a performance from 2015
by Tolkyn Zabirova, of course inspired by the movie.
