Classreunion 2026, Klassenzusammenkunft 2026

Here are photos from a high school class reunion that took place September 19, 2026 for both classes Hum A and Hum B. It took place on a 19th century neo-renaissance castle, overlooking the Rhine river and which belongs to Barbara, a classmate. See the panoramas of the region, and a gradual panorama. New: September 27, 2027: "The Katharinental Mystery" and in german, "Das Geheimniss vom Katarinental" as well as in latin "Mysterium Katarinentalense" as we all have read Asterix in latin. The castle dog sometimes feels too constrained in this humble estate and escapes to the Swiss-German border. During dinner, Barbara the lady of the Rheinburg, announced that our good friend has left once more and was nowhere to be found. The villain was later picked up near the Swiss-German border. Video to the right was accidentally shot by the drone that was still recording after exploring for a heist thriller. It had crossed the Swiss-German border - since 1850 drawn in the middle of the Rhine - and approached the SWIFT data center. One can not fly over it, even so all goodies reach 7 floors under ground, tucked away from towns. Some sort of fort knox in Switzerland, if you remember goldfinger.

To the left is a later night view from Rheinburg. It allows to dive into the past. The history is rich: there are nearby traces of humans who hunted in this region 15'000 years ago. At the time of the Romans, there was a watchtower from 400 BC a bit down the river. There are also fortifications from the Napoleonic wars and WW2 bunkers in the area along the Rhein river. The nuns of the Katharinental Abbey produced during the 14th century beautiful Gothic manuscripts. One of the song books, also called a gradual, was used for 500 years. Behind that convent to the right of the picture is the swift data center in Diessenhofen, one of the three main operating centers that power the global financial messaging network. Poetically speaking: The banks of the monastery neighbor the money of the banks. It looks like in a perfect setting for a future Dan Brown thriller.

Sibylle writes to the last photo ("A äs Bizli KI"). It is nice how the machine tried to make me look like the Adonis statue behind. There are clear pointers besides the artificial pose and look: I had worn flat running shoes, not padded ones. The watch does not fit my apple watch.
