| Das Fernsehen DRS hatte am Mittwoch, dem 23. Dezember 1981, um 20.00 Uhr den Film Marco Paolo, Zwei Brüder ausgestrahlt. Der 75 Minuten lange Film über Marcus und Paolo Knill war von Tobias Wyss gemacht worden. Ich selbst bin im Film auch vorgekommen (Weidlingsszene und Musikszene). Im Film geht es um die zwei Brüder Marcus Knill (1933-2025) und Paolo Knill (1932-2020). | The Swiss TV, broadcasting on the 23th of December 1981, the movie Marco Paolo, two brothers. The 75 minute movie was directed by Tobias Wyss. I myself have appeared also shortly there, in one scene on the rhein river, the other at the piano. The movie is about the two brothers Marcus Knill (1933-2025) and Paolo Knill (1932-2020). |
| Die Wohnung von Paolo, die im Film zu sehen ist, ist an der Plympton Strasse, oberhalb des Harvard Buchladens aber auf der anderen Seite. Man schaut in die Richtung des Blue Bottle Restaurants und dem Adams Studentenhaus. Der Blick aus dem Fenster erlaubt einem diese Sicht auf den Malkin Sport Haus MAC. | Die Weidlings Szene wurde etwa hier gefilmt. Wir waren an Nachmittagen oft auf dem Rhein. Fuer mich galt es als verpoent, den Motor zu brauchen. Man kann mit dem Weidling mit dem Ruder (ein langes flaches Brett, dass gedreht wird um gerade zu fahren) oder dem "Stachel" um das Schiff vorwärts zu stossen. Wir sind bis nach Stein am Rhein gestachelt. | The Weidling boat trip in the clip is about here. We often went on the rhein during afternoons. We mostly refused to use the motor for our trips. (For me it was a matter of pride, only to use rudder (a flat long rudder, which you twist around to move forward or navigate) or the "stachel" (a fork type stick you push the ship forward with). We would go up to Stein am Rhein like that. |

Man kann ganz links den Schaffhauser Buchhändler und Politiker Peter Meili (1939-1990) sehen, der im Jahre 1990 am Matterhorn tödlich verunfallt ist. Seine Frau Heidi Meili ist in der Mitte, dann Marcus Knill. Im Vordergrund is t vermutlich der Nachbar Edi Schmid, der auch lange Gemeindepräsident von Uhwiesen war. | Here is a photo made by the film crew while filming.
