A very short time travel movie. It is rather cryptic. The grandfather paradox appears
in many time travel movies: if you go back and kill your biological grandfather, you are
in trouble. Well known from "back to the future movie". A wikipedia entry of the grandfather
(or grandmother) paradox does not exist. That page is redirected politically correct to
Temporal paradox.
There is a serious time travel paradox possible in universes that are not simply connected.
Assume for example our space universe is a 3-torus. The equivalence principle shows that
laws in all translations should be the same. The usual "solutions" to the twin paradox (one
of them must accelerate at some point) do not apply.
From the movie description on youtube:
"Two physicist collaborators use a quantum computer to simulate a projective
closed time-like curve, the mathematics of time travel, using
themselves as the frame of reference. This takes them on an unexpected
journey into themselves."
From the website:
Maccone: "After looking at this sci-fi short clip of the movie 4-5 times, you're enacting
some kind of Wigner's friend in which each of you alternates between being the friend
and Wigner. Wigner is performing a post-selected teleportation on the friend, which
sends the friend back in a continuous stream of people, coming from the future, and
going back. Possibly these people come from other branches of the universal
wave function."
