A war drama about drama about Sara who lives in Nazi-occupied France Paris.
During a math class (Pythagoras theorem) the school is round up by Gastapo. Classmate Julien
keeps her safe in a barn of the house, where
he lives with his parents. He keeps teaching what he learned in school (there is an other geometry scene).
There are some parallels to the life story of Yvonne Choquet-Bruhat
(see review of Lydia Bieri)
Like Sara's father had her father deported to a concentration camp:
"However, 1944 brought
a radical and brutal change to the Bruhat's lives. The shock
for the Bruhat family came in the form of the Gestapo a few
days before the liberation of Paris. Upon refusing to help
find a student who was a member of the Resistance, Georges
Bruhat was deported to a concentration camp in Germany.
He was transferred to the camp in Sachsenhausen, where
he died at the beginning of 1945."
