Vectors and matrices; eigenvalues and eigenvectors; systems of linear differential equations; differentiation and integration of functions of several variables; line integrals. Applications to theoretical mechanics and optics.

Note: Mathematics 22a,b are honors courses, specifically designed for students with strong mathematics backgrounds who are seriously interested in continuing in the theoretical sciences.
