Here is the Boston Globe article on the SAT/IQ study I mentioned during our discussion of quadratic functions (§6.1). You can find the SAT-to-IQ conversion formulas in the sidebar to the right of the main story.
Here is a tangent line applet that is designed to help you see how the two different versions of the definition of the derivative (§5.1) relate to tangent and secant line slopes.
The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives for Interactive Mathematics has a graphing tool that is useful for visualizing transformations of functions (§3.4). One can graph a function like f(x) = a | x | + b, then use sliders to vary the parameters a and b and see what effect they have on the graph of the function.
I used this girls growth chart in class to talk about average rates of change (§2.3).
I used this wind chill chart in class as an interesting way to represent a function (§1.4).
Visual Calculus is a collection of calculus tutorials developed by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Mathematics Department. You may find some of the tutorials helpful as you study, particularly the ones featuring animations.
