Currently on display at Harvard Cabot. There are various connections to multi-variable. The computer just draws a texture onto the sphere. When facebook was still fresh, I had created the spoof site Marble Book, where students could submit pictures which I then rendered with Povray Gallery. That website had been motivated by the design done by Zuckerberg (who by the way took Math 21a in Spring 2003). There is some explanation behind the technology. All had been automated and was written by myself. Even the submission part, which was a CGI script on our own webserver, was handcobbled using PERL.
