FAQ

There is an other dynamical systems book of Hasselblatt and Katok available. What is the difference. The larger book is a much more detailed exposition of the topic of dynamical systems theory. It is too large for a one-semester course but a good reference book.
How does the final quiz count? Do I have to take it. Doing the quiz will count towards partication, even if the quiz should be bombed. The formula for the quiz score computation can be found on the exam page.
Who plays the background music? The italian group "Rondo Veneziano" plays "Barocco", an album of 1990. "Rondo Venizano" was founded in the early 80'ies by Gian Piero Reverberi It started as a chamber orchestra. Later, also rhytmical elements were added to enhance the traditional forms of the 18'th century. Classical instruments like Oboe, Flauto, Corno, Archi or Piano are used together with modern elements like Batteria, Chitarra Basso, or Synth. ( More information).
