Welcome to Math 1a -An Introduction to Calculus!
Your final exam is at 9:15 am until 12:15 pm on Tuesday, January 27th in SC A.
Some review problems and old finals are now on the "exams" page of the site.
A review session schedule and office hour schedule are given below:

************************************************************************************************************* The development of calculus by Newton and Leibniz ranks among
the greatest achievements of the past millennium. This course will
help you see why by introducing: how differential calculus treats
rates of change; how integral calculus treats accumulation; and how
the fundamental theorem of calculus links the two. These ideas will
be applied to optimization, graphing, mechanisms, and problems from
many other disciplines.
We will use this website to post general coursewide announcements, to list homework assignments, post homework solutions, post problem session times and locations, and provide test review material before the examinations. We will also use the website to post supplementary materials. Make it a habit to check the website on a regular basis for important messages for the class.
Check the side menu to find Course Information and the Syllabus.
There is a collection of textbooks, problem books and review guides for everything from precalc through linear algebra down in Cabot. It's to the left of the information desk at the back of the library, and the shelf is entitled "Math Textbooks." This is a great place for a student to go to brush up on a topic or two before classes start. Enjoy the semester!
