The Math21b final exam took place May 9, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

We had a global review scheduled for 5-6:30 PM on May 3, 2017
in Hall B. This review covered all the material. Here is the exam
with a solution draft. The average of the final was 82/100 with a standard
deviation of 11.

Second hourly
The first and second midterm exam dates are Tuesdays:
the first hourly(1) on February 28 and the second hourly on April 4, both at 7 PM.
The term "hourly" is a traditional "harvard jargon" which has been used since centuries.
The term is also used in other universities. The etymology is that early exams used to be
one hour long.
We had a global review on April 2, 2017, during 7-8:30 PM, in Hall C.
The second hourly covered all the material up to Friday March 31.
The exam took place in two exam rooms, one was Yenching auditorium,
the other was SC Hall D. The average was 78, the standard deviation 12.

Sunday, 2/26/2017 at 7 PM in Science Center Hall C. The average of the exam
was 84, the standard deviation 8.

The final exam date for Math 21b is May 9, 2017.
General policies
All exams are closed books and without the use of any technology.
Official policy at Harvard is that "out of sequence midterm exams" are
only offered for students observing religious holidays. We
sometimes can accommodate students who happen to have an academic conflict like
lab, important sports event at the same time (game or tournament) or
a concert or theater event. In case of a qualifying conflict,
contact Oliver to see whether it is possible to arrange
the exam earlier at the same day. Requests have to come at least a week before
the exam.
