Here are some points we extracted from our internal midterm
evaluations.
Homework:
Most believe that the homework difficult is just right.
The homework is considered challenging. This is the idea. We
want you to bite on some of the problems and use problem sessions,
MQC and office hours
Exam:
The exam was considered ok in difficulty.
Some mentioned that the computations were a bit long and tedious.
Exam prep:
The practice exams were appreciated.
There were some who would like us to post the slides to the
review. If you can not make it to the review, have somebody take notes.
Lectures:
Good examples in lecture are appreciated.
Too much focus on heavy theory less so.
There were lots of section specific suggestions which each
section leader got.
MQC:
At times, the MQC is a bit over crowded. We hope this gets
better. Make use of problem sessions and office hours.
One complaint which appeared several times was that during
the MQC, some TV was projected onto the projector. This is distracting.
If this should happen again, please alert us immediately or better
ask the person running the TV to shut it off.
